The ministry of Bryan Currie stretches beyond the stage and into the lives
of teenagers. A student minister whose youth group spans the United States,
Bryan shares his passion for God by speaking for thousands of students every year.
He travels the country experiencing the work of God through youth conferences,
camps, retreats, rallies, and other student events. Bryan uses humor, life experience,
storytelling, drama, and postmodern adventure to bring the word of God to life with
creative enthusiasm - and students respond!
Bryan’s passion is not only for the spoken word of God’s love, but also for the acting out of this dynamic message through relationships with young people. He has worked as a speaker for countless youth worship events, has been a domestic missionary in the United States, a short term foreign missionary, church youth minister, traveling Christian dramatist, published devotional and dramatic writer, and part time janitor. Bryan has also had the privilege of touring and leading worship with various contemporary Christian musicians including Todd Agnew, Joel Engle, Building 429, Barlow Girl, Casting Crowns, Big Daddy Weave, Tree 63,and Starfield. But really, Bryan is just a guy who laughs a lot, sometimes plays too hard, and loves both teenagers and the God who made them.
For Bryan, a relationship with the Living God involves more that just a series of
emotional responses - singing songs, laughing, crying, and walking an aisle. The
life of faith wraps itself in yearning to live an existence of praise while learning
to stay in step with Jesus. All else is simply a means to that end. It is Bryan's
desire to "model a Christian lifestyle, make disciples by sharing the story of Christ
with excellence and innovation, encourage students to actively practice their faith,
and in doing so passionately build the Kingdom of God."
Bryan holds a degree in religion and theater from Union University in Jackson, Tn and a
Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently serves
as a freelance student minister speaking regularly at youth events and local high schools.
